How Wzdm.in collects, stores, and protects data for schools, teachers, and students.

1. Who we are

Wzdm.in is an online assessment platform for schools and colleges. Schools subscribe to the platform to run MCQ and coding assessments for their teachers and students. When a school onboards, they accept our data processing terms, and we process personal data on their behalf as a data processor.

2. Data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

  • School administrators — name, email address, and a hashed password.
  • Teachers — name, email address, hashed password, and the classes they are assigned to.
  • Students — name and class or section. Students do not create persistent accounts; they authenticate using a school code provided by their institution each time they sit a test.
  • Assessment data — test questions, student answers, scores, and result timestamps.
  • Audit data — logs of sensitive actions such as report downloads, recorded with a user identifier and timestamp.

3. How we use data

  • To operate the assessment service your school has contracted.
  • To generate performance reports for teachers and administrators.
  • To maintain an audit trail of access to sensitive data.

We do not use personal data for advertising. We do not sell or share data with third parties for commercial purposes.

4. School isolation

Every school's data is stored and queried under a unique school identifier. This is enforced at the server level on every database operation. No school can access another school's students, teachers, tests, questions, or results.

5. Role-based access

Within a school, access is restricted by role. Administrators, teachers, and students each reach only what their role permits — enforced server-side on every request. A teacher cannot access another teacher's classes, and a student cannot access other students' results.

6. Security measures

  • Passwords are stored as one-way cryptographic hashes and are never stored or transmitted in plain text.
  • Authentication uses secure, HTTP-only cookies.
  • All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS.
  • Sensitive actions are audit-logged with a user record and timestamp.

7. Student data and minors

The platform is used by schools to assess students, including minors. Schools are responsible for obtaining any required parental or guardian consent before enrolling students on the platform. Wzdm.in processes student data solely on the instructions of the subscribing school.

8. Data retention

Student, teacher, and assessment data is retained for the duration of your school's active subscription. Schools may request deletion of their data by contacting us at support@wzdm.in.

9. Your rights

If you have a question about data held about you, contact your school's administrator. For data processing inquiries as a school, contact us at support@wzdm.in.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Schools will be notified of material changes by email ahead of them taking effect.
